Coming out of the dark

I've been sick for three weeks. I've had everything a woman can have. The worst part is my lack of sleep. Well, last night I slept through the night...didn't even have to go to the bathroom. I feel like a new woman. Eventhough I'm still coughing and sniffling. I actually have some umph to clean and tidy. Yay!!!

Even during my ongoing illness, lots has been happening. Mostly with the kids.

Robbie earned his Wolf in Cub Scouts. I'm so proud of him. He worked so hard and earned everyone of those signatures.

Robbie turned 9 years old. With a crazy, chaotic birthday at Chuck E. Cheese's . I hate that place, but sure do love my children.

Lucy's been down at my parents' in Virginia for the last two weeks. She's had all the attention for 2 weeks now. She's going to have a rude awakening when she gets back to this crazy house.

Jessie's school basketball team made it to the championship game. They lost, but the game was a great one. Those 7th and 8th grade players sure do play hard.

We signed up Robbie and Joey for baseball. So, they each got new gloves and balls. Joey's in 7th heaven over it.

Then, we joined a homeschool group and their little soccer practice. So, more balls as well as shin guards. I think Joey wore the shin guards to bed and slept with his new soccer ball.

Leah continues to amaze me. Just everything about her is amazing. I'm so grateful for her. Though, I'd be more grateful without the messes she leaves behind.

That's it for now. I'm going to get back to cleaning and tidying. I'll add some pics when I find my camera.

Good to hear that you are alive. I was getting worried that maybe the eastern seaboard had fallen off into the Atlantic! Actually, John had a very similar experience with EVERY illness floating around this season. He was pretty miserable. How is the homeschool going?
